Are metal straws bad for your teeth?

No.  But the first few times you use them please be mindful – you can’t “chew” stainless steel drinking straws like you may have done with your plastic drinking straw and sometimes your teeth might clink against them as you get used to them.

Stainless steel straws for hot drinks?

Yes – of course, but always be mindful that the reusable metal drinking straw itself will absorb the heat of the liquid and will become warm to your touch.  Again, experience is the best guide, so take it carefully as you get used to it.  Remember, you don’t normally use plastic straws for hot drinks, so adjust likewise.
